Standing Orders of LPC
All meetings are conducted in accordance with regulations known as Standing Orders. Some items are regulatory and some are optional. Almost all meetings of the Parish Council are open to the public, and on most occasions members of the public are given an opportunity to speak.
In accordance with the amendment to the Public Bodies (admission to meetings) Act 1960 - Persons present at any LPC meeting which is open to the public, may film, record or report on social media without restriction. This will mean that anyone attending meetings could also be filmed, recorded, etc.
The Chairman of Loose Parish Council presides over the Council, or in the case of a Committee, the Committee Chairman presides over the Committee. Absence of any Chairman then falls on the Vice Chairman to preside, or in his/her absence by another nominated Councillor.
